Wing wonder Miles Benjamin has revealed Warriors are determined to secure a home win on Friday night to reward the loyal fans at Sixways Stadium.
A bumper crowd is expected for the Newcastle clash in the Guinness Premiership as Worcester hunt a first league victory of the season on home soil.
Benjamin admits the team are keen to build on the superb win at Sale Sharks last weekend against the Falcons.
However, he revealed the team are also desperate to turn on a display for the supporters that he believes deserve a big performance under the floodlights.
“It’s crucial we keep the momentum going from Sale and it would be nice to give the home fans something to shout about in the Guinness Premiership because they have been brilliant again this season,” he said.
“Apart from the EDF Energy Cup win down here, we have not given them much to cheer on. But nothing beats a league win on home soil when it really matters. If we want to advance as a club we need to win games like this.
“Friday night games here are also special with a great atmosphere. The stands are full and it’s a great buzz to play in front of a packed house. I can’t wait for the kick-off and the noise when we run out – I hope the fans really turn up the volume and make it another special night.”
