Warriors pair in Rugby World Cup warm-up action

Warriors pair Joe Taufete’e and Ed Fidow will be in Rugby World Cup warm-up action on different sides of the Pacific Ocean on Saturday.

Hooker Taufete’e will line up for United States against Canada at the Place Stadium in Vancouver with Fidow on the left wing for their international against Australia at the Western Sydney Stadium.

Taufete’e missed the recent Pacific Nations Cup through injury but has regained fitness in time to play in the Eagles’ last match before Director of Rugby Gary Gold names his side for the World Cup in Japan.

Fidow, who has joined Warriors from French Pro D2 club Provence for this season, sat out the Pacific Nations Cup but has already secured his place in Samoa’s World Cup squad.

Fidow made his international debut against Fiji in June 2018 and has scored eight tries in his eight Tests to date.
