WARRIORS UNDER-18S MAKE THREE CHANGES FOR FALCONS TEST

Mitch Reeve makes his first start of the campaign for Warriors Under-18s on Saturday as Mike Hall’s team lock horns with Newcastle Falcons in the Premiership Rugby Academy League (kick-off 4.15pm).

Reeve, who packs down at tighthead alongside Joe Richardson and Ben Murphy, is one of three changes to the side that left Northampton Saints with a comprehensive 36-19 bonus point win last week.

Charlie Hagen replaces Adam Lane in the second-row, while Ollie Wynn gets the nod at scrum-half after coming off the bench to score twice at Saints.

Warriors come into this weekend’s clash having recorded back-to-back victories over Wasps and Northampton to put themselves in contention for a run at making finals day.

“We’re improving as a team week on week and I’m pleased with the progress of individual players,” said Academy Manager Hall, whose side sit second behind Northern Conference leaders Leicester Tigers with a game in hand.

“All three of our league games this season have really tested us, and the lads have shown great character to secure successive bonus point victories.

“We’ve made a few adjustments for tomorrow’s game and I’m looking forward to seeing how Mitch Reeve does in his first outing of the season as well as Ollie Wynn and Charlie Hagen.”

Newcastle are third, a point behind Warriors having played the same amount of games and will undoubtedly be buoyed by their 29-22 triumph at home to Sale Sharks.
