Stourport High School and Sixth Form College, Warriors’ RFU ACE League team, warmed up for the Plate play-offs with a 17-6 win against Henley College from Coventry in a friendly at Sixways.
Full-back Matt Smith (Sutton Coldfield) marked his return from injury with a try on his first appearance of the season for Stourport.
Centre George Evans (Claverdon) and lock Nick Houldey (Silhillians) also crossed for Stourport with Dan Chambers converting one of the tries.
The win should be a confidence booster for Stourport ahead of their first Plate play-off match away to Oaklands College, their Saracens counterparts, on Wednesday November 10 (kick-off 2.00pm)
