Youngsters on the Warriors HITZ Project visited Listers Land Rover in Droitwich last week.
They were joined by first-team stars Ryan Lamb, Chris Pennell and Jonathan Thomas and underwent a series of challenges against their rugby heroes.
Youngsters went head-to-head with the players to see who could change a wheel the quickest before they learnt how to manually move vehicles around the showroom.
Staff at Listers then provided everyone with a tour of the workshop and discussed the possibility of future work experience with the youngsters.
Warriors Community Foundation Manager Carol Hart said: “It was a fantastic experience for the youngsters involved with the HITZ Project to get out of the classroom and engage with the staff at Listers.
“It provided them with a different environment to develop their skills and a big thank you must go to the staff at Listers for their support.”
The award winning HITZ programme tackles some of the greatest challenges facing young people today – unemployment, crime and disillusionment.
Delivered nationally by Premiership Rugby and funded by national partners Barclays, Comic Relief, Land Rover and Wooden Spoon, HITZ uses rugby to increase young people's resilience, self-reliance and confidence.
It gives them the skills to get back into education, vocational training, apprenticeships and employment. Please visit hitzrugby.com to find out more.
