Another record-breaking summer for Warriors Camps

During August, Worcester Warriors broke all previous camp participation records with 510 youngsters attending six camps breaking the previous best figure set last year.

Additionally, five of these camps sold out with the sixth one going close.

These camps were run across four counties – Shropshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Herefordshire, allowing children from all over the West Midlands to have access to a quality rugby camp.

This included a number of participants from overseas who wanted to be part of the action.

The children on the camps ranged from seven-year-old beginners, to experienced 17-year-olds on the Residential Camps.

Warriors run different camps to cater for all abilities and levels of experience and follow the RFU age-grade regulations in the delivery.

During the camps, in addition to the experienced Community Coaching team, a number of professional players and Academy coaches were in attendance, passing on extra tips and handing out prizes.

With a number of the exciting camps planned for the October half-term, and Christmas already receiving considerable interest, Warriors would urge anyone who is interested in booking, to do so sooner rather than later. Click here to book your place.

Community Coach Liam Cooper said: “It was great to see such a fantastic turnout at our Summer Camps as it is always rewarding to encourage more youngsters to get involved in the game.

“A big thank you goes out to all the coaches and parents that made the camps successful and we look forward to seeing everyone again soon.”
