Worcester Warriors Community Camp Co-ordinator

An opportunity has arisen within the Community Rugby Department for a dynamic and enthusiastic Camp Co-ordinator.

This person will be responsible for the running of the highly acclaimed Worcester Warrior camps and take the lead in all aspects of camp delivery and performance.

The post is full-time and the successful applicant will report to the Community Rugby Manager.

The ideal applicant should have good communication and organisation skills and have an understanding of figures and logistics. They should be able to actively promote, sell and manage several projects at once whilst remaining within agreed budgets.

The main elements of the role include:
• Sourcing suitable venues
• Working with the relevant departments within the Worcester Warriors to ensure all camps are publicized in good time and in the right channels
• Ensure gifts and giveaways are ordered in sufficient time and that any relevant camp ticket deals are communicated effectively
• Co-ordinating staffing requirements
• Provide detailed coaches packs for all camps and ensuring each camp is branded correctly.
• Carry out a camp review including producing a profit and loss account
• Work within given budgets and targets.
• Visit local clubs and schools to generate interest in the Warrior camps and other Warrior products
• Other relevant duties as outlined by line manager.

Salary: £19k per annum.
Qualifications: Ideally the successful candidate will have a relevant qualification in Sports Management , Sales and Marketing or similar.
Location: The job will incorporate both office-based and travelling work.
Contract type: Full time subject to a six month probation period.
Passport Visa requirements: You will need to prove you have permission to work in the UK.
Driving Licence: A full clean UK driving licence will be needed for the role.
The post is subject to a DBS clearance.

Facilities Assistant  – Cleaner

Worcester Warriors are seeking an experienced cleaner to join the Facilities team at Sixways Stadium.

You’ll have experience of working in a busy environment to ensure that all conference, events and matchday facilities are cleaned to the highest standards.

The role will involve the cleaning of conference rooms, toilets, offices, reception areas and external areas of the stadium.

This is a full time position, 37.5 hours a week. Shift patterns vary to cover hours 06.00-22.00 Monday to Sunday.

The successful applicant will have:
•         A strong attention to detail
•         Good customer service skills
•         Flexibility in working hours
•         Ability to work on their own initiative
•         COSHH awareness, although full training will be given on chemicals and machines

Junior Academy Strength & Conditioning Coaches

Job Overview:
Worcester Warriors have opened applications for two Junior Academy Strength & Conditioning Coaches.
The successful applicants will work within the Strength & Conditioning department of Worcester Warriors – a Gallagher Premiership Rugby club and Academy –  and will report to the Academy Manager, Head of Performance and Lead Academy Strength & Conditioner.
Working in a dynamic and innovative environment, the successful candidates will take a lead role in planning, delivering and reporting on all aspects of the strength & conditioning programme of the junior Academy players (aged 13-18 years).
The Role:
• Lead S&C provision for the junior academy (13-18) for the Player Development Group and Developing Player Programme
• Plan, deliver and monitor the S&C programmes for players in the U18’s, U16’s U15’s Academy squad.
• Undertake regular testing of the PDG players to confirm the effectiveness of the programmes that have been implemented
• Manage all part-time staff and interns within the Junior Academy – allocating work programmes and assessing their effectiveness.
• Monitor playing loads of junior academy players to ensure physical development goals are met across the season
• Assist in S&C provision for the senior non-integrated academy group as and when required.
• Develop & maintain S&C links between colleges & schools; delivering CPD to staff and assisting in delivery to players
• Liaise with medical staff on returning injured players to performance from the age group squads
• Deliver one-on-one S&C sessions for England Academy players (16-18)
• Liaise with England age group performance staff on all Worcester Warriors players involved in international programmes
• Ensure that players progressing from the U18s into the full-time Academy are prepared physically for the demands of professional rugby
• Provide education sessions to players on aspects of their wider lifestyle (sleep, recovery, social life etc), which will affect their physical development and progress within a professional rugby environment
• Attend Academy games & festivals. Leading the physical preparation for the game to include – warm up, hydration, pre/post game nutrition and post-game recovery strategies.
• Manage and quality assure the level of S&C support to the DPP groups. Undertaking regular CPD for DPP staff and keeping them in line with the clubs Academy S&C philosophy
• Undertake other administrative duties relating to the Worcester Warriors Rugby Academy as required.

The Person:
– Degree level qualification in Strength & Conditioning, Sport Science or a related discipline
– UKSCA accreditation or equivalent
– Minimum of 12 months experience of working within a Strength & Conditioning department in elite level sport
– Good understanding of elite level rugby union and knowledge of developing young athletes
– Organised, efficient and self-driven in all aspects of work
– Capable of developing effective relationships with other staff members and players alike
– High level of IT skills, with the ability to analyse and present data to coaching & other performance services staff
-Driving licence

Matchday Host/Hostess

Matches are normally scheduled on a Friday or Saturday. Working hours for Friday matches are 16:45-21:45 and Saturday matches 12:00-17:00.

Competitive hourly rates are offered. Applicants must be able to work all home team matches – 13th Jan, 27th Jan, 17th Feb, 4th March, plus two home games in April (dates TBC). Previous experience in a similar role is essential.

Main duties include:
• Operating the tills, including cashing up and completing paperwork at the start and end of each shift
• Leading the team by example
• Giving clear direction and guidelines to team members
• Ensuring the appearance of team members is according to company policy
• Being able to communicate effectively with guests at all levels of the venue
• Serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Ensuring that the bar is fully stocked at all times and keeping accurate records of stock
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene by keeping the bar area clean, tidy and presentable at all times

Shifts are arranged on an ad-hoc basis. Shifts will be between four and 12 hours long, depending on the business needs. You will be paid £8.50 per hour plus holiday pay.

You will be working with an experienced team and main duties will include:

  • Welcoming and assisting visitors upon arrival
  • Checking tickets and passes
  • Undertake pre-match and post-match stand checks
  • Dealing with customer queries in a confident and friendly manner
  • Constantly monitoring the spectators in your area
  • Ensure exit and evacuation routes are kept clear at all times
  • Report immediately any damage or defect, suspect package or fire risk which is likely to pose a threat or danger to spectator safety

Minimum level 2 in Spectator Safety is preferred, however full training will be provided.

You must have an excellent level of spoken and written English.
