Marketing Executive – Hospitality & Events

This role will assist the Head of Marketing & Communications with marketing activities and campaign delivery across all areas of the business and the venue’s operations, with an emphasis on hospitality, conferencing and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head of Marketing & Communications with preparation and delivery of marketing plans and activity across Sixways Stadium’s events, hospitality and conferencing
  • Build and send email communications to customers
  • Work with the Creative & Brand Executive and external design agency to create event collateral and ensure all creative is within brand guidelines
  • Assist Head of Marketing & Communications with digital marketing and out of home advertising working closely with our buying agencies and media partners, current and prospective
  • Liaise with printers and publishers with any requirements ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Occasional assistance on the delivery of rugby and community marketing in peak periods
  • Monitor the industry to keep on top of the latest trends and competitor analysis
  • To undertake any other duties deemed commensurate with the post and as directed by management and / or the Company
  • The person in this role also needs to take their own initiative and interest in keeping up to date with new marketing tactics and keeping their skills up to date with online resources such as free webinars, reading of whitepapers, undertaking free online courses etc

Essential Experience & Skills

  • At least three years’ solid B2B and events marketing experience – hospitality and venue marketing experience is a distinct advantage
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Fully computer literate and numerate
  • A strategic and commercial attitude towards marketing
  • Solid understanding of social media platforms, latest strategy and techniques
  • A creative and lateral thinker and energetic team player with a high level of enthusiasm
  • Good copywriting skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritise and work under pressure, with good time management in a pressurised environment
  • A good listener, able to respond to results and consumer research
  • Diplomatic with strong negotiating skills, and the ability to work with initiative and maturity
  • A professional appearance and the social skills necessary to deal with a wide range of clients
  • Willingness to work flexibly when required

Desirable Skills

  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM working knowledge is a distinct advantage
  • Adobe Creative Suite working knowledge is an advantage
  • Marketing based qualifications – HND/Degree Standard

Warriors Foundation Development Executive

Length of contract: Permanent

Remuneration: £30,000 basic + OTE £50,000.
OTE earnings based on a tiered commission scheme which will be discussed with the successful candidate at final interview.

The Warriors Community Foundation exists to help build a legacy for sport, education, health and social cohesion across the communities within our reach.

We utilise our brand, iconic status, players and professional staff to engage and inspire people through the power of sport to live an active, healthy and rewarding lifestyle.

Many of our initiatives are award-winning and demonstrate innovation across multiple disabilities.  Coupled with our work with minority groups and young people who are disengaged with society make our Foundation unique.

Due to our expansion plan, we are currently seeking a full-time Foundation Development Executive to join us.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years’ experience of creating, developing and delivering innovate fundraising initiatives and developing sponsorship and partnerships within the local community and with local businesses.

We are therefore looking for someone who is driven, shares our excitement for Premiership Rugby and sport in general and who can take this passion out into the marketplace and raise awareness that will underpin our vision – to be the best inclusive sports foundation.

Main duties

  •  Undertake research on prospective corporate, major, trust and public donors.
  •  Lead on development of new fundraising products and events and market them.
  • Cold call potential donors and build relationships with them.
  • Update donors on how their money is being spent.
  • Research and write case studies on the impact of the organisation’s work.
  • Respond to unique inquiries from trusts, corporates and members of the public.
  • Write fundraising applications to trusts and foundations or charity of the year proposals to corporates.
  • Write reports for trusts and foundations n the use of existing grants.
  • Maintain and update donors’ records on a fundraising database.
  • Write internal reports, analysing fundraising progress on a monthly or periodic basis.
  • Organise and take part in strategy and planning meetings with members of the Foundation Team.
  • Arrange fundraising events and tours of the charity’s projects for potential donors.
  • Work in liaison with Worcester Warriors’ Commercial Team to ensure no cross over and to take advantage of any mutually beneficial opportunities.

Qualifications
Essential – English and Maths
Desirable – Graduate in Marketing

Relevant experience

  • Sound knowledge in fundraising with minimum 5 years’ experience

Casual Rugby Coach

Salary- £70/day

Job Purpose

  • To provide coaching and support to the camps and match day activity
  • The scope of the role will be to focus upon the coaching of all ages. This will include coaching male and female participants to play all forms of the game

Camp delivery will be in school holidays across the full region the Warriors work in. There is also work available on match days.

Job Description, roles and responsibilities

  • To deliver high quality coaching sessions to people of all ages
  • To take a professional approach to the planning, preparation and organisation of coaching sessions
  • To ensure the safety and welfare of all participants in coaching sessions
  • The delivery of high quality, safe and enjoyable coaching sessions
  • Complying with Worcester Warriors, Premiership Rugby and RFU policies and procedures as appropriate
  • Maintaining high professional standards and the promotion of these standards in the community
  • Monitoring of equipment and resources held and distributed through the Community Coaching team.

Qualifications, Education and Key Skills Requirements

  • An RFU coaching qualification (minimum Rugby Union Level 2)
  • A current clean driving license.
  • A current RFU Enhanced DBS disclosure, one will be completed through Worcester Warriors if successful.
  • The successful candidate will have experience of coaching/teaching across a range of age groups and in different locations.
  • Ideally the successful candidate should already have a good knowledge and understanding of the game.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and volunteers from all parts of the organisation and be able to present a highly professional image when representing the Worcester Warriors.
  • Must be able to establish positive working relationships with colleagues throughout the community sport and rugby development networks.
  • Must have the flexibility to cope with unsociable hours including weekend work throughout the season.

Bar Supervisors – Matchday and Events

Warriors are seeking experienced casual Bar Supervisors to join our busy Events Team.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to develop new skills working in a prestigious event location. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, passionate about people, have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate excellent customer service.

Main duties include:
• Operating tills, including cashing up and completing paperwork at the start and end of each shift
• Leading the team by example
• Giving clear direction and guidelines to team members
• Ensuring the appearance of team members is according to company policy
• Being able to communicate effectively with guests at all levels of the venue
• Serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Ensuring that the bar is fully stocked at all times and keeping accurate records of stock
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene by keeping the bar area clean, tidy and presentable at all times

Shifts are arranged on an ad-hoc basis. Shifts will be between four and 12 hours long, depending on the business needs.

Current bar work experience is essential with a good level of written and spoken English. Please note this position is for those aged 18 and older.

As part of the Hospitality Team you will be serving food to customers, keeping the work area clean and tidy, cleaning and polishing cutlery and occasionally setting up and clearing down the venue.
