Job Title: Head of Marketing & Communications

Responsible for all the club and stadium’s Marketing and Communications functions and the implementation of strategic plans and goals. This role will oversee the marketing of products across all areas of the business including Ticketing, Hospitality, Retail, Conference & Events, Community Rugby and the Community Foundation which are essential to increasing revenue streams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop consistent and coherent marketing strategies in line with overall objectives and key performance indicators across all the Club’s business activities
    Act as the Brand Guardian, oversee the approval of all marketing material and develop creative solutions to bring to life the brand positioning.
  • Implement brand guidelines across all product areas including Ticketing, Hospitality, Retail, Community, Foundation and Conference and Events marketing
  • Work with the General Operations Manager and Business Operations department to implement sales strategies in order to maximise attendances at all rugby games and other non-rugby events
  • Manage the Marketing & Fan Engagement Executive and Creative & Brand Executive to oversee the production of all marketing collateral including social media, direct mail, email, SMS campaigns, radio, out of home, digital and print advertising
  • Manage the relationship of third party suppliers including creative agency, media buying agency, radio, print production, tourism, website, app
  • Manage the CRM system
  • Work with the commercial team to support integration of club sponsor/partners including executing marketing and communications rights
  • Oversee the approval of all marketing copies, and establish a reliable process for ensuring core brand assets are approved across the business
  • Develop regular post-campaign reporting and tracking for all marketing activities to demonstrate return on investment of all marketing spend
  • Oversee the club’s tone of voice in conjunction with the Communications Manager, working with the communications team to ensure club messaging is on brand through internal media communication and external outlets
  • Develop a social media strategy through market research and best practice
  • Oversee the use of video content via the communications team to ensure high quality and regular content is produced including player/coach interviews, match ticket promotional content, exclusive behind-the-scenes content and ensuring best practice is taken from other organisations

Job title: Deputy Bar Manager

Department: Food & Beverage -Bars
Position reports to:  Bar Manager
Contract: permanent

  • Oversee the service of beverages within the Sixways Stadium & events / function Bars, along with food service within the concessions and stadium bars, and maintain overall responsibility for beverage service throughout Sixways
  • Ensure cash procedures are adhered to and strictly monitored, including preparation and calculation of beverage bills within all departments, and cashing up of tills
  • Take responsibility for stock control, including ordering, acceptance, maintenance of stock levels and stock rotation, and return of any sub-standard items
  • Ensure Stadium security is maintained, and events are staffed appropriately and in accordance with licensing laws and Stadium Security Procedures
  • Report and liaise regularly with Bar Manager & Head of Food & Beverage regarding departmental performance and ensure they are informed of any relevant information or issues
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers
  • Liaise with Facilities, Events and Sales department regarding handover and organisation of functions
  • Liaise with accounts department to ensure invoices are forwarded promptly and are correct and that cash procedures are being adhered to

  • To pro-actively source new business in conference and event sales

Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Worcester Warriors Rugby Club for a senior physiotherapist to join our existing sports medical team. The experienced and hardworking physiotherapist will have the chance to work and develop in one of the premierships most state of the art performance centres, under the guidance of the Head of Performance and Head of Medical Services. Sixways boasts one of the best performance centres in premiership rugby, including indoor 4G pitch, AlterG, Cryotherapy chamber, contrast baths and sauna. The successful applicant will get the opportunity to work in this amazing environment on a daily basis with an already experience performance team. The role itself will focus on the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation planning and implementation for the 1st team squad.

Key responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Head of Medical Services in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of all senior players
  • Assist the Head of Medical with administrative tasks such as injury audits, medical insurance and other matters as required.
  • Provide match and training day physiotherapy and pitch side trauma cover for the Senior Squad
  • Prescribe, develop and implement treatment and rehabilitation plans for injured and rehabilitating athletes
  • Provide pitch-side cover for all required training and games.
  • Assist with daily musculoskeletal screening
  • Assist with the daily maintenance treatment and prehab requirements of all senior players
  • Work closely with S&C staff to ensure a smooth transition for players from injury through to Return to Performance
  • Maintain a good working relationship with all key personnel, colleagues and players
  • Maintain own CPD requirements, keeping up-to-date with current evidence based physiotherapy/rehabilitation modalities
  • Contribute to ongoing medical teams CPD
  • Keeping documentation on all aspects of injury management in accordance to the standards set by the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) using RugbySquad

Essential requirements:

  • Degree in Physiotherapy.
  • 3-5 years or more experience within elite level sport preferably Rugby
  • Member of the CSP
  • Registration with HCPC.

Highly desirable:

  • MSc in Sports Physiotherapy or similar
  • Experience working in professional rugby
  • RFU ICIS Level 3 qualified

Applicant must also demonstrate:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience working with and treating elite athletes, preferably in premiership rugby.
  • Excellent assessment, diagnostic, clinical reasoning and taping skills
  • Sound understanding of sport science and strength and conditioning

Job Brief:

We are recruiting experienced bartenders to lead a team on one of the bars at Sixways Stadium and to ensure guests experience industry- leading levels of customer service throughout their visit. The candidate will operate the bar under the guidelines of the department and company and will look to develop existing management skills through interactions with both guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the bar for service
  • Brief, instruct and lead a team of bartenders
  • Understand the products on the bar and be able to asses customer’s needs and preferences and make recommendations as and when needed
  • Upsell products as requested and increase bar turnover over a season
  • Interact with the cliental and nurture an excellent guest experience
  • Restock and replenish the bar inventory
  • Closing down the bar and bringing it back to the required level of cleanliness and set up acceptable for the next event
  • Completing bar specific event paperwork
  • Accepting responsibility for cash between receiving floats and handing match day takings back into relevant account department representative

  • Resume and proven working experience as a bartender

Job Title: Developing Player Programme (DPP) Coaches (Volunteer roles)

Centres – Birmingham and Herefordshire
Responsible to: Academy Coach Development Officer and DPP Manager
Outline of Role
  • Deliver high quality sessions within your nearest centre (Sessions will be in the evenings)
  • Provide player feedback within the session to support their development
  • Create a challenging and fun environment for players to develop in.
  • Build good relationships with other coaches within the centre to aid co-coaching
  • Continual personal development. (All coaches working in the DPP would be expected to commit to the coach development programme).
Person Specification – Developing Player Programme Coach
Skills and Education
  • Will have achieved level 2 and be looking to working towards UKCC Level 3 Qualification, or demonstrate significant experience in coaching talented young players.
  • Must be registered under the RFU Coach License Scheme.
  • Valid First Aid Certificate

Job Title: Matchday Doctor

Warriors have a vacancy for a matchday doctor to join them for the upcoming 2019/2020 Gallagher Premiership season.

The chosen candidate working with the Men’s elite first team squad covering a combination of home and away match days.

Primarily the role will be to cover matchday duties which may be on a Friday evening / Saturday / Sunday depending on the fixture schedule. The successful candidate will be part of a team of doctors, but may be the sole doctor on duty at times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attendance on match days as per agreed with Club Doctor and Head of Medical
  • To work as part of Warriors medical team to provide competent and confident match day medical support
  • Liaise with Head of Medical services, physiotherapists and Lead Club Doctor.
  • To provide immediate on-pitch care and support to injured athletes, post-match assessments as required and onwards referral if appropriate
  • Maintain appropriate medical records in accordance with both local and national guidelines, compliant with the RFU standards

  • GMC registration and appropriate professional indemnity insurance
  • RFU ICIS Level 3 qualification or willingness to undertake
  • Postgraduate education in other relevant fields may be advantageous (SEM)

Job Purpose

  • To provide coaching and support to the camps and match day activity
  • The scope of the role will be to focus upon the coaching of all ages. This will include coaching male and female participants to play all forms of the game

Camp delivery will be in school holidays across the full region the Warriors work in. There is also work available on match days.

Job Description, roles and responsibilities

  • To deliver high quality coaching sessions to people of all ages
  • To take a professional approach to the planning, preparation and organisation of coaching sessions
  • To ensure the safety and welfare of all participants in coaching sessions
  • The delivery of high quality, safe and enjoyable coaching sessions

  • An RFU coaching qualification (minimum Rugby Union Level 2)

  • The successful candidate will have experience of coaching/teaching across a range of age groups and in different locations.
  • Ideally the successful candidate should already have a good knowledge and understanding of the game.
