Be part of the Monday night rugby thrill

Monday night rugby at Sixways takes another step forward next week when Sale send a strong Academy U21 squad south.

The bumper crowd at last Monday’s Academy clash with Exeter Chiefs were rewarded with a 57-27, nine-try feast from a Warriors side with an average age of just 19.
The Worcester Academy line-up to face Sale will be just as young, reflecting the club’s growing wealth of emerging talent.
“That reflects the profile of the squad this year,” says academy manager Andrew Stanley. “We’re a young squad.
“Playing Sale on the stadium pitch as an Academy fixture is a fabulous opportunity for the boys to experience, and it’s part of the way we in which we’re trying to educate them in what it means to be a Worcester player.
“The fact that 700-plus people came to watch us play against Exeter illustrates that supporters understand what we’re doing and enjoy what they’re seeing. I know the players enjoy having the support.”
Entry to the match, on the stadium pitch (7.30pm), is free. Food and drink will be available from the Clubhouse before and after the match.
