Top Coaches Add Value To Warriors Camps

With added input from Warriors Academy players who hold their RFU coaching qualifications and first team players such as Pat Sanderson, Shane Drahm and Craig Gillies; Warriors Rugby Camps really do offer the best coaching experience money can buy.

To ensure that all those who attend the popular Warriors Premier Rugby Academy Camps leave with the most up to date skills, techniques and player education advice, the Worcester Warriors community team have added an elite team of coaches to work with their young players.

The already popular camps now boast a set of full time professional coaches who are all RFU Level 2 and above qualified.  These coaches have a vast experience of coaching and working with young people and have brought through some of the Premierships brightest young stars.  All of the coaches are working with representative teams and have a keen eye for spotting and then developing young talent.

Matt Sherratt, Warriors Rugby Development Officer and RFU Level 3 coach and coach tutor will be leading as well as coaching future camps.  Matt’s former role as a school teacher gives the camps added welfare experience.  Coaching representative sides, the Warriors Elite Player Development Groups and regional squads show his coaching credentials and many young players under his guidance have represented England and gone on to become professional rugby stars.

Ken Cuthbert another RFU Level 3 coach and coach tutor lends his experience to the camps.  His former role as an RFU Youth Development Officer saw him bring through talent such as Warriors own Marcel Garvey and Ken continues to coach with passion and enthusiasm in both the school and professional environment.

Mike Pannahoe is an RFU Level 2 coach and RFU trained tutor and has now been brought on board as a full time Warriors coach.  Mike has extensive experience of working with elite athletes in Premiership Rugby Academies and spends lots of his time within schools, enthusing and developing the next generation of rugby stars.

Steve Joslin, former Youth Development Officer in Ireland and Level 2 coach also adds his brand of enthusiasm and coaching expertise to the camps.  Steve has a variety of roles with the Warriors from coaching within special schools to highlighting elite performers on County assessment days.

Another valuable addition has been Stuart Eades, who is known by many in the area for his work with the Worcestershire County Development squads.  Stuart is a very enthusiastic and up and coming coach qualified to RFU Level 2.
