Three Warriors in England U19 World Champs squad

Winger Miles Benjamin, centre Greg King and flanker Matt Cox have all been named in the England U19 squad for the showpiece IRB U19 World Championships.

The talented trio have enjoyed eye-catching form in Sixways Academy and Guinness A League matches this season and will now be taking part in the championships in Northern Ireland next month.
England are seeded third in the tournament after securing third place in Dubai last season, their best-ever finish.
Their IRB campaign opens against tenth seed Samoa at Shaw’s Bridge, on Thursday, April 5, before they take on Argentina at Belfast Harlequin, four days later, then second favourites New Zealand at Ulster’s Ravenhill ground, on Friday, April 13.
England have been placed in the top tier, Division A, and the results of their pool games will determine who they play in round four.
Before the Belfast mission England finish their preparations with a warm-up game with France, at Henley’s Dry Leas stadium, on Saturday, March 24.
“The club is delighted to have three representatives in the England U19 World Championship squad,” said Academy Manager Andrew Stanley.
“All three players have performed extremely well in Academy and ‘A’ league level matches this season when given the opportunity and have raised interest in the senior coaches at the club.
“The kind of intensity and quality a World Championship competition at U19 level produces will only serve to broaden their horizons and take their games to greater levels.”
