Couple celebrate Warriors double!

Two dedicated Worcester Warriors fans enjoyed a double celebration after the club’s Premiership survival – the arrival of twins that they have now named after the players!

Season ticket holders Scott Rose and his pregnant wife Tamzin made sure they were in the East Stand to cheer on the Warriors as they secured top-flight status against Saracens.
The excitement of a sell-out crowd prompted some twinges in Tamzin’s tummy and just hours after the dramatic victory her waters broke. Soon afterwards the Claines couple celebrated the birth of twin baby boys.
And in tribute to the Warriors achievement they decided to name their twins Patrick Thomas – after skipper Pat Sanderson and team-mate Thomas Lombard – and Benjamin James – after Ben Gotting and James Brown.
“We sat around for a while to enjoy the celebrations after the game and then returned home hoping the twins would quieten down. They did for a couple of hours but Tamzin’s waters broke at 4.14am so the Warriors owe me a night’s sleep!” said Scott.
The twins are now looking to return home in the coming days and are already showing their allegiances by being kitted out in Warriors babygrows donated to the couple by the club.
“We were delighted to hear that the Rose family enjoyed a double celebration with the Saracens victory and then the safe arrival of the twins,” said a Warriors spokesperson.
“We now look forward to another generation of Warriors visiting Sixways and, who knows, maybe Patrick Thomas and Benjamin James will one day follow in the footsteps of their namesakes.”
