Loki Crichton is aiming to reproduce his stunning World Cup form for Warriors after checking into Sixways this week ahead of the crunch clash with Leeds Carnegie.
The dynamic and versatile back has jetted into Worcester after turning heads in France with his eye-catching performances for Samoa.
Crichton earned rave reviews for his attacking flair and nerveless kicking during the pool stages – and slotting 17 points in defeat to England.
The former Super 14 star, who has signed a two-year deal with Warriors and is one of six new faces at the club this season, admits he was delighted with his showing at the showpiece event.
And with Warriors travelling to Headingley Carnegie on Friday night he is relishing the prospect of his debut in Worcester colours and turning on the style to help the club claim a first Guinness Premiership victory.
“The World Cup was a fantastic experience for me and something I want to build on at Warriors,” he said.
“I was pleased with my form in France and the way the competition went for Samoa, I have memories I will cherish from the event for the rest of my life.
“Now I really want to produce that kind of form for Worcester and help the team start recording victories and move up the Guinness Premiership table.”
Director of Rugby Mike Ruddock has already hailed Crichton as a player who can make a big impact at Warriors with a “good all-round game with tackling and passing of the highest quality”.
And Crichton, who revealed he had been monitoring the results from the other side of English Channel, is keen to make an instant impact.
“I’m eager to develop my game and help Warriors, starting at Leeds,” said Crichton.
“I have been looking at the results while I was away and believe the team is really close to putting it together from what I have seen on the training field in the first week.
“I have settled in quickly, the boys have really welcomed me into the club and made me feel welcome. I had the chance to come here before the World Cup which helped me settle before I went to France with Samoa.
“The first time I put a Worcester shirt on will be a special occasion for me and I hope that will happen at Leeds Carnegie in what is a big game for the club so early in the season.”
