Travel news – Catch the coach to Tigers

Travelling to Welford Road to cheer Warriors on Saturday, October 20 has never been easier – just catch the supporters’ coach!

The cost is just £13 per person, with a £1 discount for debenture and season ticket holders.

The coach leaves Sixways at 11.30am with pick-ups in St John’s at 11.10am and Lowesmoor at 11.20am.

Anyone who wants to head for Leicester in good company and comfort is asked to contact the Sixways Ticket Office without delay today. The number is 0870 990 5650.

Meanwhile, supporters travelling to Leicester Tigers’ Welford Road stadium and the city centre should be made aware that a diversion will be in operation due to major roadworks on Upperton Road in Leicester from October 19.

Due to extensive work in replacing the viaduct with a ground-level road and new bridge over the Old River Soar plus cyclist/pedestrian crossing at the Great Central Way junction, part of Upperton Road will be closed.

Upperton Road runs between Narborough Road (A5460) and Aylestone Road (A426)/Welford Road (A50) close to the Tigers and Leicester City home grounds.

Car users should follow diversion signposting and remember to allow extra time for your journey in and out of the city centre. The route will also be closed to pedestrians, with diversions in operation.
