Powell facing enforced layoff

Warriors boss Mike Ruddock has revealed scrum half Ryan Powell is facing six weeks on the sidelines after breaking a bone in his foot.

Wales international Powell fractured a metatarsal in his left foot during the Ospreys clash in the EDF Energy Cup game at Sixways Stadium.

?Ryan actually managed to play on for a while with the injury against Ospreys but obviously he is in a cast now and will have a spell on the sidelines,? said Ruddock. ?We are looking at six weeks which is a blow for us.?

Warriors will also be without back row Kai Horstmann for the clash with Harlequins this weekend after he suffered a knee cartilage injury but fellow forward Gavin Quinnell is making positive progress after a neck injury.

Centre Dominic Feaunati is also ruled out of the trip to London with injury and is set to have an injection to cure his hamstring injury which the medical team at Sixways believe is related to a back problem.

However, more positive news concerns Netani Talei who Ruddock has announced is scheduled to play some part in the EDF Energy Cup after a try-scoring debut from the Fijian international against Sale Jets on Monday night.
