Worcester Warriors are delighted to announce that the annual fireworks spectacular at Sixways Stadium has been rescheduled for Friday evening (November 9).
The club was forced to postpone the event on Sunday after the Met Office issued a weather warning for dense fog across the region and very poor visibility at the stadium created a serious health and safety issue.
However, the club is determined the musical fireworks extravaganza will go ahead and has now made the decision that the spectacular – themed ‘A Night at the Movies’ – will take place on Friday, with gates opening at 6pm and the show from 8pm.
Visitors to Sixways will be treated to £10,000 worth of fireworks choreographed to music from children’s favourite movies. There will also be a live band on site, bars open across the complex and fast food available. Covered seats will be available to make comfortable viewing and free parking on site.
“We were devastated to have call off our annual fireworks show because of the weather but all the staff were determined that the show must go on and we’re delighted to now announce a new date,” said Charlie Little, Warriors General Manager.
“We pride ourselves on having one of the best firework displays in the county and with £10,000 worth of fireworks ready to be let off into the night sky to a stunning musical backdrop we’re confident that this year’s show will still be the best ever.
“Having rescheduled for Friday night we feel this event is now the perfect way to start the weekend and I would urge families to come along and enjoy an unforgettable night under the stars with Worcester Warriors.”
Stadium Tickets are available NOW at £5 an adult – £6 on the night – and £2.50 a junior – £3 on the night – in advance of the show from the Warriors Ticket Office on 0870 990 5650.
All tickets purchased for Sunday’s show are valid for the rearranged date. Anyone unable to attend the rescheduled show will be able to collect a refund if a request is made within a week of the cancellation.
Hospitality Suites are also available for the night, offering a two course meal and un-paralleled views of the fireworks from your own private South Stand balcony at only £320 plus VAT.
