Warriors boss Mike Ruddock has urged his team to produce a professional display when they face a rematch with GRAN Parma on Italian soil on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).
Worcester ran in eight tries and shut out the Italians at Sixways Stadium seven days earlier to complete a 50-0 win and take control of Pool 2 in the European Challenge Cup.
However, the Director of Rugby is wary of a Parma backlash in the reverse fixture and with the home side fielding their strongest side knows the Italians will be out for revenge.
“They will be a far more difficult proposition in Italy, they will bring back players and we have to be aware of players like Tommy Hayes and Rima Wakarua,” he said.
“They are not as difficult opposition as a Guinness Premiership team or a top European team. But if we slacken off it will be a difficult day for us.
“We were nearer where we want to be last weekend but we are not getting carried away.
“However, our shape was good, our commitment was good and, towards the end of the game, they were camped on our line quite a bit and I thought that we showed great shape and good execution in the tackle.”
Ruddock has named a strong side for the trip abroad and admits he is eager to see new signing Sam Tuitupou in action after he recovered from a wrist injury.
“Sam has been given the all-clear by the medical staff and will make his debut,” added Ruddock.
“Dale is just coming back from injury so probably won’t go the full 80, so at some stage we will move Rico back to 13 and bring on a winger and adjust accordingly.
“It is great that Sam is playing, he has already brought a lot to the squad. He is a world class player and is used to the style of rugby that we want to play so integrating him should not be a problem.”
