Date change for Leeds trip to Warriors

Worcester Warriors can today confirm a date and time change for the Guinness Premiership fixture against Leeds Carnegie at Sixways Stadium.

The Round 16 clash of the league campaign will now kick-off at 1pm on Sunday, March 16 and will be televised internationally live on Sky Sports.

While accepting there would be some understandable supporter frustration towards the decision, Charlie Little, Warriors General Manager was obviously delighted with the opportunity presented to the club and Sky Sports decision to show the world what Worcester Warriors have to offer.

“It gives Warriors an opportunity to yet again demonstrate to the wider public what is happening at Sixways Stadium.

“Being on a Sunday, this match will give a number of new people the chance to come to Sixways and experience the Worcester Warriors match day. Those that often have other committments on a Saturday afternoon may feel that this is a game, on a Sunday afternoon, that allows them the opportunity to watch premiership rugby.

“As with all games in the Guinness Premiership, it promises to be another fiercely competitive and exciting afternoon, especially in front of the live TV cameras and a packed Sixways crowd,” commented Charlie Little, Warriors General Manager.

Tickets will be available at http://www.wrfc.co.uk/ from 4th February or from the Sixways Stadium ticket office from the 11th February.”

Please also note:

Worcester Warriors away fixture to Saracens in the Guinness Premiership at Vicarage Road has now also changed to a 3pm kick off on Sunday, February 10.
