Powerhouse Lutui orders Warriors to deliver

Powerhouse front row star Aleki Lutui has called on the Warriors to ‘front up’ against London Irish and put in a big show for the Sixways supporters.

Lutui, named at hooker for the showdown, admits the Friday night clash with the Exiles (kick-off 8pm) is a massive game for the club after recent defeats to Saracens and Harlequins.

And the big Tongan, who signed a new two-year deal last week, plans to lead by example as Warriors hunt for a crucial second league win of the campaign.

“The time for talk is over, we need to start producing on the field in these big games, every game is huge now,” said Lutui, talking to The Warrior matchday magazine.

“We’re all really looking forward to the London Irish game. It is a game that we must win, we have let ourselves down and we need our preparations to be spot on because it will be a hard game.

“The last time we played them in the league was a painful memory. We were in a position to win, then we were drawing and then we shipped a late try. That was frustrating and we have to make sure we learn from our mistakes.

“We need to front up for our fans. We are not just playing for us and our families, we are playing for our supporters and this club and need a display to show that.”
