Warriors European Semi-Final Details

Worcester Warriors are just two games away from the glory of the Heineken Cup as they prepare for the one of the biggest nights in the club’s history by facing Newcastle Falcons in the European Challenge Cup semi-final on Friday, April 25 (kick-off 8pm).

Mike Ruddock’s men booked a semi-final place after a thrilling win over French giants Montpellier and can now look forward to facing the superstars of Newcastle in a last four shootout under the floodlights at Sixways Stadium.

The televised clash will be the biggest European night ever staged at the home of the Warriors with the prize a place in the European Challenge Cup final and moving one step closer to a place in the European elite next season in the Heineken Cup.

Excitement is already starting to build across the city as the Warriors prepare to tackle stars such as Jonny Wilkinson, Toby Flood, Carl Hayman and Jamie Noon – and you can be part of the action!

Tickets will go on sale to Debenture and Season Ticket holders from 9am tomorrow (Tuesday, April 8) until close of business on Tuesday, April 15. Tickets will be available in person from the Ticket Office or by calling 0870 990 5650.

Tickets will go on general sale from 9am on Wednesday, April 16 from the Ticket Office and online.

Supporters are reminded that a European semi-final is not a part of the season ticket package. Normal Warriors match day prices will apply for the game.

A Friday night bus service and timetable, run by First, will be in operation and be free to supporters on production of a match ticket.

“This will be the first European semi-final we have ever staged here at Sixways Stadium and we are expecting a thrilling encounter with Newcastle Falcons,” said General Manager Charlie Little.

“The Heineken Cup is now within touching distance, just two games away and the advantage of playing at Sixways Stadium is absolutely crucial. We are therefore encouraging everyone to come down for a night to remember.

“We have been unbeaten since the start of March and with an all English line-up in the semi-finals the excitement building could not be greater.

“We know Newcastle will bring a wealth of international talent for this massive encounter. But I’m sure the home atmosphere under floodlights and in front of a live television audience will make it a night to remember. One that everyone connected to Worcester Warriors will want to be a part of.”
