Warriors Reveal Pre-Season Plans

Developing Sixways Stadium will host one pre-season match as Worcester Warriors countdown to the 08/09 Guinness Premiership season.

Warriors have today revealed an exciting pre-season programme as the club bids to launch a new season in style.

The team will be in competitive action for the very first time when they take part in the prestigious Middlesex Sevens at Twickenham on August 16. Warriors, who narrowly finished runners-up to Newcastle Falcons last season, are expected to send a strong side to challenge for honours.

Warriors will also be in action the following day (Sunday, August 17) when they face Doncaster Knights in a pre-season clash at Castle Park.

On Saturday, August 23 Moseley will be visiting Sixways Stadium for the only home pre-season game due to the redevelopment of the East Stand. Ticket information will be released in the week commencing Monday, July 21 but the game will have a restricted capacity due to the building work that is taking place.

Worcester will travel to Northern Ireland to face Ulster on Wednesday, August 27 with the two teams facing off at Ravenhill with a 7.30pm kick-off in Belfast.

Mike Ruddock’s men complete preparations for the new campaign on Sunday, August 30 when a development team will travel to Cambridge.
