Warriors Community make missing link

Worcester Warriors Community development programme this week made huge progress and increased their commitment to the region with the confirmation of a new education partner to work alongside principle community partners npower and other investors into the Warriors community programme.

Link Telecom are a Bradford based Telecommunications company with a passion for Sport and Education. The company have worked with the Warriors over the Summer at producing a ground breaking and market leading sports related education programme.

The Programme ‘Learning with the Warriors’ will provide a Warriors themed education resource coupled with outside activity to over 5,000 young people over the next two years.

The project with be delivered and managed by Warriors Education Programme Coordinator Dave Rogers who will use his experience of primary school teaching to ensure the Warriors educational resource not only provides a fun and enjoyable way of learning but also young peoples curriculum needs are met.


Tom Ryder Community Manager commented: “Link Telecoms investment will take the Warriors to the next level of provision for the local community, their support and genuine passion for community development will allow us to bring innovation and imagination to the lives of thousands of young people over the next two years.”

The sponsorship of the programme which has been Sports Matched to increase its reach and impact will allow the Warriors to continue to develop its Educational schemes of work alongside the already successful Playing for Success programme run by the Warriors Study Centre Team.
