England U20 name squad for Sixways

England today named their 22-man squad for the opening RBS Under-20 6 Nations game against Italy at Sixways Stadium on Friday night (kick-off 8pm) – and homegrown lock Graham Kitchener is set to feature for this country!

David Lewis (Gloucester Rugby) was part of the original group but has been ruled out after breaking his ankle in the Guinness Premiership game against London Irish last Saturday.

The scrum half has been replaced by Dan White (Leeds Carnegie) for the game at Worcester on Friday, February 6 (8pm).

“Dave had been enjoying a superb season and we desperately disappointed he’s suffered such a setback. Everyone in the camp wishes him all the best for a speedy recovery,” said coach Mark Mapletoft

“We hope he’s back in action before the end of the season and able to challenge for a place in the squad for the IRB Junior World Championship.”

The 22 includes 10 players capped last season, when England completed a Grand Slam in the Six Nations tournament before reaching the final of the IRB Junior World Championship.
