Warriors reveal French Euro date

Worcester Warriors have today confirmed they will face French giants Brive in the quarter-finals of the European Challenge Cup in a televised clash at Sixways Stadium on Saturday, April 11 (kick-off 1pm).

Mike Ruddock’s men, who last year finished runners-up in the competition, secured a home draw after topping their pool in the group stages and have been rewarded with a mouth-watering home clash with Brive.

Brive boast a side packed of international talent, including fly half Andy Goode who has been named in the England side to face Italy at Twickenham this weekend.

The French outfit also have a number of former international stars including Ben Cohen, Alix Popham and Steve Thompson and will present Warriors with a huge last eight test.

The televised clash, which will be shown on Sky Sports and France 4, will be one of the biggest European games ever staged at the home of the Warriors with the prize of a place in the last four and chance to move one step closer to a place in the European elite next season in the Heineken Cup.

Tickets will go on sale to Debenture and Season Ticket holders from 9am on Monday (February 9) and will be available online at www.warriors.co.uk – using your unique username and password which was issued in November – in person from the Warriors Box Office or by calling 01905 454183.
