Warriors freeze Season Ticket prices

Worcester Warriors has today announced its best ever range of Season Ticket packages with prices frozen for the 2009/10 season at Sixways Stadium.

As well as the price freeze the club are also now offering a new easy payment plan option so fans can spread payments through the summer to secure their seat, have an upgrade or buy as a gift.

Purchasing a Season Ticket for 2009/10 will be better value for money as the club are including 17 home games.

Other benefits of the 2009/10 Season Ticket package includes free entry to pre-season, Warriors A and Academy games, discounted travel, priority booking on rugby and events and the chance to win top prizes.

“Worcester Warriors are delighted to announce a price freeze on Season Tickets for the 2009/10 season and this is without doubt the best deal we have been able to offer since we have been in the Guinness Premiership,” said Charlie Little, General Manager at Sixways Stadium.

“The decision to freeze prices has been taken in view of the present economic climate and to recognise the commitment of our loyal fans that have supported the club throughout this last season.

“We hope fans agree that the new Season Ticket package is bigger and better in terms of value than ever before with more games, a new spread payment facility and more involvement in their club.

“Our Season Ticket and Debenture holders remain the most crucial part of the club as our dedicated and loyal fans have once again shown this season why they are regarded as one the best in the Guinness Premiership.”

“This season we have done the double over our local rivals Gloucester and champions London Wasps, and gained a crucial victory over highly rated French side Brive on home soil and we are now really turning Sixways Stadium into a fortress with only three defeats in the last six months at home.

“We are trying to make Worcester a real rugby city in the same way that Bath and Gloucester have been and for the city to be incredibly proud of what the players and the chairman are trying to achieve at Sixways.

“We are trying to open our doors to as many people as possible by offering a price freeze, payment plan option and family packages within our Season Tickets options. This means that a child can watch from a guaranteed seat in the Kukri Stand for as little as £5 per game.

“The team are beginning now to realise the potential that we’ve always known they have had and we are still missing some of our international stars that have been injured for long periods of the season. It bodes well for the new season as we look to strengthen the squad even further.”

Existing Season Ticket holders will receive their renewal forms in the post in the coming days to ensure supporters can take full advantage of the ‘Loyal Warrior’ offer to keep their choice of seat.

Warriors are also offering supporters the opportunity to further invest in the club by purchasing a three year Debenture package. If you would like further information regarding this offer, please contact the Ticket Office on 01905 454183.

Director of Rugby Mike Ruddock said: “All professional rugby players want to be performing in front of large crowds and the support we have had this season at Sixways Stadium has been absolutely fantastic.

“I hope even more fans will take advantage of the price freeze and new benefits that come with Season Tickets to cheer us on next season as it does make a huge difference to the players.”

Despite the exact season structure still waiting to be finalised for 2009/10, Little stated: “The prices we are announcing today are committed to at least 17 games, and include the eleven Guinness Premiership games, the European pool matches (in either the Heineken Cup or European Challenge Cup), our two scheduled pre-season fixtures and the additional games that will make up the new domestic season.

“The inclusion of our pre-season games in the Season Ticket package for the first time ever will add further value as one of these games will be against a Heineken Cup side.”
