Stars from Worcester Warriors got the civic seal of approval this week after making a special visit to The Guildhall – and revealed how the current Sixways squad even has a special link to the Mayor’s office!
Lock Will Bowley, wing Rico Gear, back row Tom Wood and Team Manager Alun Carter were all special guests of the Mayor of Worcester, Councillor Lucy Hodgson.
The Worcester players were given a full tour of the city centre venue by Coun Hodgson – who is a dedicated and long-term Warriors fan and Debenture holder.
And when visiting the Mayor’s Parlour it was lock Bowley who revealed his link to the civic office with one of his relatives a former Mayor of Worcester who is recorded in the official register!
