Jonno joins Warriors on Hampson walk

Worcester Warriors Community staff have played a supporting role in the walk for Matt Hampson which began in Rugby Town on May 8 and will finish at Twickenham this weekend to coincide with the Guinness Premiership final.

England Head Coach Martin Johnson set the pace for the first day in order to raise the profile of the event and support fellow Leicester player Matt Hampson who was left paralysed from the neck down as the result of a training ground scrum accident.

The community team have worked tirelessly to help raise money to supply vital equipment and medical care for Matt, with some of the money going towards a charity called special effects of which Matt is patron.

Other celebrities to have supported the walk include James Haskell, Graham Rowntree and Rory Underwood.

If you wish to support the Warriors Walkers and donate money to the charities you can do this by texting WALK4MATT to 82010 with texts costing £3 donating all to charity.
