Academy ace faces Springbok Schools

Worcester Warriors rising star Andy Short will start at outside centre as England U18 complete their three match tour of South Africa and their 2008/09 season when they play South Africa Schools this afternoon (Friday).

After two excellent tour wins against Boland and Western Province, England Head Coach John Fletcher is looking for his squad to end their season on a winning note but he knows that South Africa Schools will provide his players with a very tough test in Kimberley.

John Fletcher said “Everybody is in good shape. We’ve been able to select from a full squad except Jake Sharp (Saracens/Oaklands College) who is playing for the Saracens first team in Cape Town this weekend, which we agreed with his club in advance of the tour.

“All the players have trained and prepared well and I’ve had to make some tough selection calls but I think this team has the right balance for the South Africa Schools game.”
