Warriors reveal player injury update

Worcester Warriors have today revealed positive injury news over the fitness of wing Marcel Garvey and centre Dale Rasmussen following the Amlin Challenge Cup clash with Montpellier – but prop star Matt Mullan is set for a lengthy lay-off.

Medics at Sixways have revealed that speedster Garvey has fractured a bone in his right hand, but the injury is not as bad as initially thought and following scans he is now expected to miss around three weeks of action.

Big hitting Rasmussen has strained ligaments in his left knee and faces the same length of time on the Sixways sidelines, while lock Graham Kitchener is also set for a month out with a right shoulder injury.

Prop Shaun Ruwers has injured his big toe and is set to see a consultant this week to be fully assessed.

Fellow front row Mullan damaged his left hamstring and is set to visit the specialist for the full medical results of scans. However, it is feared he could miss two to three months of action.
