Coach praise for Rasmussen qualities

Coach Andrew Stanley highlighted Dale Rasmussen’s desire to improve and unwavering commitment to the Worcester cause as key factors as the centre ace signed a new deal at Warriors.

Stanley, who has been placed in charge of first team affairs following the departure of Mike Ruddock, believes that long-serving star Rasmussen will have a big impact in the Championship challenge.

And he revealed the attitude of the Samoan would also rub off on the younger players at Sixways with Rasmussen the ideal role model.

“Dale is the type of person that represents a lot of good things about Worcester,” said Stanley.

“We need those qualities and the kind of culture that Dale creates in and around the club – that will be the difference between us moving straight back up or another season in the Championship.

“The amount of preparation he puts in and the work ethic he has to training means he is ready for every game and is a consistent performer.

“His enthusiasm and want to get better as a player, in everything he does, is something that rubs off on other players, especially the young players coming through.

“Dale is a great role model and we look forward to him being a part of next season and our bid to come back stronger.”
