Andy – Fans can be Goode for the future

New signing Andy Goode has urged the fantastic Worcester supporters to continue to back the Warriors in the Championship – insisting fan power has been the foundations that Sixways success has been built on over the last decade.

Goode, who went to school in Bromsgrove, has revealed his admiration for the fans that have devotedly backed Worcester as they have climbed the English league system.

And he is keen for them to enjoy a winning brand of rugby next season as the club launches the Championship challenge

“We want to bounce back and the fans are a big part of that. They have been an integral part of the club over the growth period, coming up through the lower leagues,” said Goode.

“This place has grown and grown and we must look at this as a one-year blip – we will be back stronger than before.

“The fans are key to the future and I just want to put a smile back on their faces and give them a brand of rugby they will enjoy supporting.

He added: “When I played for Leicester Tigers and also for Brive, coming to Worcester was exciting because as a set-up, looking around the stadium, it is a pretty special place to play rugby.

“The city is behind the club and the support here has been truly amazing over the years. It has just grown and grown and hopefully that will continue in the coming years.

“We are in the Championship now, but I want all the fans to come back because every time I have played here it has been an amazing atmosphere.”
