Touch Rugby Update

The first round of fixtures finished fairly smoothly however there is one overriding issue that needs to be addressed by all teams, captains and players immediately.

In several instances throughout the evening, teams turned up without the required amount of players to fulfil the fixture and therefore had to borrow players from either the leagues above or below. This in turn made some results very one sided especially players that had been borrowed from the league above.

We are now putting a stricter policy in place regarding players and result outcomes. Each team must try and complete fixtures with their own players however if they are struggling they may borrow up to 2players from another team no more than one league above. If they require more than 2 players, the match will still be played as a friendly and the opposition awarded a 5-0 win.

At the start of every fixture team captains must meet with the referee and declare how many borrowed players have been used. This requires a strict honesty policy.
