Warriors in the swing of the action

The stars from Sixways got into the swing of things on Wednesday afternoon as they took to the golf course as the club’s annual Warriors Corporate Charity Golf Day took place at Ombersley Golf Club.

Four balls, made up from local businesses and the backroom team and players from Warriors, tackled the 18-hole course with no handicap restrictions making for a hugely entertaining afternoon of golf.

Butcher Woods emerged as eventual winners with 86 points while the nearest the pin prize was taken home by Edward Sale, who was a guest of Max Edwards from Close Asset Management.

The longest drive winner was won by Sixways resident golf professional Chris Pennell – who was later disqualified for being too talented for his own good! Golf professional Leo Tarrant was next and in third place was Julia New from Stiletto Golf.

After the golf, a black tie event was held back at Sixways with guests treated to a question and answer session with new signings Oriol Ripol and Bruce Douglas. A charity auction also took place to raise funds for Sense, the leading national charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind.
