New boy Best takes Triathlon crown

Summer signing Neil Best took top triathlon honours as Richard Hill’s men took to the water, saddle and hit the road for the annual Warriors Triathlon at Top Barn on Friday.

The event has become a regular feature in the pre-season plans of the Warriors as the players are put through a gruelling test in Holt Heath.

All the first team squad were involved at Top Barn as the Strength and Conditioning staff at Sixways cranked up the workload with the new RFU Championship campaign less than a month away.

Prop Callum Black was the star performer in the swim as he was first out of the lake before hooker Chris Fortey showed his ability on the bike to push himself into contention.

But it back row Best that was the quickest over the line closely followed by fly half Joe Carlisle and then flanker Pat Sanderson.
