Sixways Stadium will fling open its doors this Saturday as the Warriors Open Day makes its annual summer return – and this year’s event will be the biggest and best ever.
Gates will open at 10am with FREE entry to all with a huge variety of events and activities planned around the entire stadium complex. Maps will be available on arrival.
Warriors will also play a pre-season game with Stourbridge Saxons as part of the Open Day festivities that will kick off on the stadium pitch at 3pm.
Supporters are reminded that the day is completely FREE and parking at Sixways will be on a first come, first served basis. There will be no Park and Ride in operation on the day but the Park and Walk will be available for fans making the journey to the complex.
Activities planned on the day of fun include:
Stadium Tours – Get behind the scenes at Sixways! Meet at the North West corner throughout the day, starting at 10.30am until 12.30pm. Members of the back room team will be there to tell you all about what they do at Sixways.
Meet the Players – Players will be signing autographs and answering questions on the astroturf on the stadium pitch. Three sessions are planned at 10.30am, 11.30am and 12.30pm.
American Football – Gridiron comes to Sixways in September and we have the ultimate taster with demonstrations on the stadium pitch south west corner and also a stand inside the Sixways Lower.
Laser Shooting & Climbing Wall – Old Vicarage Adventure Centre provide an action-packed day in West Stand Car Park with shooting and climbing walls. An unforgettable way to spend your Open Day!
Police Dog Shows – See the best law enforcement on four legs in action! Events will be running in the West Stand Car Park at 1.45pm.
Fire Engine Display – Hot stuff as the local fire brigade show the equipment they use in hot situations!
Face Painting – Visit the West Stand Car Park to get your unique Open Day look!
Animal Ark – In the West Stand Car Park you can see a Barn Owl, lizards and even Boris the Boa Constrictor!
Inflatables – Bounce around and have some fun on the stadium pitch in front of the South Stand before Warriors take centre stage! Donations for this will go to Acorns Children’s Hospice.
Mini Rugby & Tag coaching sessions – Young rugby hopefuls can get a taste of like at Sixways on the stadium pitch.
Astons Coaches – Ever wanted to know how the first team travel to away games. Well climb aboard the bus and find out away days Warrior style!
Malvern Hills Brewery – The famous Warriors Black Pear will be available to try out along with a host of refreshments across the complex. Visit the Sixways Lower for more information.
Exhibitions – Discover more about FragranceMad.com, Worcester Bosch, Smurfit Kappa, Carlsberg, Sci-Mx, Nuffield Health, Modus Creative and many, many more with stands in the Sixways Lower.
Warriors Rugby Supporters Club, WRFC & Worcester Ladies – Want to find out more about Worcester Ladies, the hugely successful amateur section and the new official supporters club. Displays will be around the Clubhouse and stadium complex. Worcester Wanderers are also playing two games on Westons kicking off at 12.30pm and 1.30pm.
Sunshine Radio – Jump aboard the bus in the West Stand car park!
