It will be great to see a mixture of old – and I mean old – Warriors and Wanderers taking the field this Friday night as Worcester Vets face Esher Vets on Westons at Sixways (kick-off 7.30pm).
The former professionals hopefully include Bruce Fenley, Steve Lloyd, Neil Lyman, Nick Baxter, Dave Merlin and Jim Jenner
The pre-professional former Worcester 1st XV players include Gareth Hughes, Jon Moffatt, Simon Phillips and Dave Webb.
The remainder of the squad are current Wanderers players and coaches in what promises to be an enjoyable if slow moving game of rugby.
The clubhouse is open from 6.30pm and will be well used especially if the weather is as cold as forecast. We hope to see you.
This match is a forerunner to a special match on Saturday, May 14, 2011 when Warriors Legends XV take on Worcester Wanderers. The Match and Dinner afterwards is a fund raiser for the Wanderers Tour to Worcester USA which begins a few days later on May 19.
