Sixways ready for big local derby clash

Worcester Warriors are ready for action as the big local derby clash with Moseley Rugby in the RFU Championship explodes into life at 3pm this afternoon after the big clean-up at Sixways Stadium.

Work has continued around the clock in a bid to get the game the green light and following overnight temperatures and the thaw the club is now preparing to host the league encounter.

Rain has helped clear the remaining snow on the playing surface and the front sheets will be removed mid-morning. The pitch at Sixways is very soft as the thaw continues, but currently deemed playable for the game.

All snow has been removed from the walkways to the stadium and supporters making the trip to Sixways for the game are asked to wear sensible shoes, wrap up warm and please remain on the designated paths that have been cleared at all times.

The main roads inside the stadium complex have been cleared and gritted. Those travelling to the stadium by car are asked to allow extra time for their journey and for your vehicle to be parked up on site.

The West Stand at Sixways is fully operational and supporters are advised to use the facilities in the Sixways Upper and Lower as normal. The FragranceMad.com Stand is also fully operational with all seating decks cleared of snow.

Fans in the Slick Systems Stand are advised that temporary toilet facilities are available today with the toilets on the ground floor currently unavailable. The seating deck in the Slick Stand is clear of snow and frost.

The South Stand seating area is clear of snow and the First Aid Room will be fully operational from both the South Stand and also the tunnel area.

Tickets remain on sale for the league game. The Warriors Box Office is open from 10am this morning to purchase tickets for the game.
