Worcester prop Matt Mullan has been handed a boost as he continues his rehabilitation from a shoulder injury after today (Wednesday) being named in the England Saxons EPS.
The January 2011 England and England Saxons Elite Player Squads have been announced by England Team Manager Martin Johnson and England Saxons Head Coach Stuart Lancaster.
Head Coach Richard Hill has spoken about a playing return for Mullan next month alongside Chris Pennell.
But ahead of that date his importance to the England set-up has been reinforced as he was named in a 32-man England Saxons squad. A temporary replacement for the Worcester prop, while he is injured, will be named later this month.
England Saxons face Italy A at the home of Worcester Warriors on Saturday, January 29 (3.15pm) in what is sure to be the biggest game ever staged at Sixways.
