Wolves host Midlands Ladies Touch

The latest round of the Midlands Ladies Touch League, organised by Worcester Warriors Community team, recently took place in Wolverhampton on Sunday, April 3.

The league is run on a similar format to the IRB Sevens, whereby each club takes a turn in hosting an event. Points are awarded to each club on the basis of their performance at each event. After the six events whichever team has accumulated the most points are crown champions.

The latest event in Wolverhampton saw the host team take on sides from Telford, Droitwich, Bromyard and Redditch with Bromyard taking top honours after scoring nine tries and conceding just one. Hosts Wolverhampton took second spot while Telford finished just behind. The overall standings, after two rounds of action, see Bromyard lead the way with a four-point lead over Wolverhampton and Droitwich.

If anyone would like any more information about the league and would like to enter a guest team for one of the legs, please contact Steve Joslin at the Warriors on 01905 454183 or email steve.joslin@warriors.co.uk
