Goode times on Easter Rugby Camps

The stars from Sixways made it a special Easter for our young fans as they appeared at Rugby Camps to show the next generation of Warriors how to reach the top of the game!

Worcester duo Alex Grove and Graham Kitchener were first to make special guest appearances at the club’s first Easter Rugby Camp on April 14 and 15.

Scotland international Grove and England Saxons ace Kitchener took part in the sold-out two-day PRA Camp at Cleobury Mortimer RFC.

Young aspiring players were put through their paces by the Sixways stars before then took part in a question and answer session and signed autographs and posed for pictures.

Steve Joslin, Community Rugby Manager at Warriors, said: “The first of our two sold-out Easter Camps went very well and we were delighted with both the turnout and standard of the young players involved.

“We thank Alex and Graham for taking time out of the busy RFU Championship schedule to attend the camp in Cleobury Mortimer and inspire what we hope will be the Warriors of the future for years to come.”

The second camp, known as ‘Warriors Goode Friday Camp’, took place at Sixways on April 21 and 22 as England Under-20 flanker Matt Kvesic and former international kicking star Andy Goode – who appropriately turned up on Good-e Friday – showed over 120 young players how they could be a real Warrior.

“The second of our camps was exceptionally well attended at Sixways and sold out way in advance of the day,” added Steve Joslin. “Once again we had a really top group of attentive and very keen players who were delighted to get the chance to both meet and be coached by Andy and Matt. It capped a very special Easter period for the club and our young supporters.”

Warriors run a number of camps throughout the year at Sixways and around the region. Places are always in demand so remember to check our website at www.warriors.co.uk or call the Warriors Community team on 01905 454183 for further details.
