The Sixways squad took time out of preparations for the new season this week as they were invited to celebrate promotion back to the Aviva Premiership by the Mayor of Worcester.
The Warriors were special guests of city mayor, Coun David Tibbutt, at the Guildhall reception as the players and backroom staff were given a tour of the Mayor’s Parlour. The reception was also attended by Chairman Cecil Duckworth OBE and Head Coach Richard Hill.
Coun David Tibbutt, the Mayor of Worcester, said: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to personally congratulate the Warriors on their marvellous achievement. It is a great boost to the morale of the city and my congratulations to all involved.”
