Goode heads home for Coach Education

Fly half Andy Goode will make a return to his first-ever club when Worcester Warriors hold a special Coach Education evening at Barkers’ Butts RFC in Coventry tonight (Wednesday).

The Warriors Academy coaching team of Andrew Stanley and Gary Meechan will be delivering four special sessions in Coventry for Warwickshire coaches throughout this season.

The first event is being held tonight (Wednesday, September 14) and will see Goode return to the club where he started playing rugby when he was just five-years-old.

The Worcester fly half will be joined by club team-mate Ben Gulliver.

Warriors are holding a series of coaching seminars for Warwickshire coaches. The first evening will look atdismantling and rebuilding skills, emphasising fault identification and correction, create a platform for further Coach Education sessions, and help to create a Continuous Professional Development Pathway for Rugby Coaches within the Coventry area.

Goode and Gulliver are set to take part in practical sessions working with Under-16s from the club. The Warriors coaching team of Stanley and Meechan will then host a coach development presentation indoors before the evening concludes with a question and answers session.

Further events will take place at Barkers' Butts RFC on Wednesday, October 19, Wednesday January 18 and finally Wednesday, February 15, 2012. Other coaches and players from Warriors will appear on these nights.

Doors open on the night at 7pm for all coaches wishing to attend.
