Sixways stars play Heroes Challenge

Worcester duo Josh Drauniniu and Sione Tu’ipulotu were both in action at Twickenham on Saturday afternoon in the Heroes Rugby Challenge – with the flying Warriors winger among the scorers for the Southern Hemisphere XV.

Drauniniu and Tu’ipulotu were both granted permission by Warriors to feature in the game alongside the likes of Danny Drewcock, Ben Cohen, Serge Betsen, Tom Smith and Will Greenwood as the Southern Hemisphere XV claimed a 36-22 win over the Northern Hemisphere.

The game featured a blend of World Cup winners, former internationals, promising young talent and servicemen with Help for Heroes hoping to raise more than £1 million for the charity, with all funds raised spent on direct and practical support for those wounded in the line of duty.

Tu’ipulotu appeared as a second half replacement for the Northern Hemisphere while Drauniniu scored a memorable try at England’s HQ for the Southern Hemisphere, coached by former South Africa and Italy boss Nick Mallett.
