Warriors and King Cecil help panto!

Rugby stars from Worcester Warriorsare hoping to put in a winning performance this week at a school Christmas panto – that has even featured a special guest appearance from King Cecil!

Club Chairman Cecil DuckworthPupils at Tudor Grange Academy had feared they might have to cancel the school’s annual pantomime with major construction work going on at their theatre until the end of next year.

However, as part of our commitment to supporting the local community, the Warriors offered to save Tudor Grange’s damsel in distress by hosting ‘Robin’s Hoodie’ at Sixways.

Each show will also see a star performance from a special guest and it all kicked off on Tuesday evening with club chairman, Cecil Duckworth OBE, playing the role of Kind Richard!

Several players from the team will also be moving their performance from pitch to stage this week with Bruce Douglas and Ollie Frost also set to tread the boards!

The pantomime runs until the end of the week and supporters and local businesses are welcome to attend on Friday afternoon. A drinks reception starts at 1pm, where you can learn more about the Academy and its vision for the future, before the show starts at 2.15pm.
