Little Warriors Invade Sixways

The Little Warriors have invaded Sixways… and now they are planning to stage a fixture at the home of the Warriors when the Cavaliers entertain The Army on Wednesday, March 7 (kick-off 7.30pm).

he Warriors Community team have teamed up with Tudor Grange Academy in Worcester to launch a fantastic new project that will see pupils from the school, based on Bilford Road, run a match day at Sixways!

Students from all age groups at the city school are taking part in the eight-week project that will see them cover every aspect of the game having been split into small teams, that include Marketing & Media, Corporate Hospitality and Fundraising.

Every group has already meeting up with staff at Sixways on a weekly basis and have decided that the charity match will raise funds for the Warriors Community Foundation and SSAFA Forces Help.

Laura Bolon, from the Warriors Community team who had spearheaded the project, said: “We have a strong relationship with Tudor Grange and came up with his latest project to really give the children a not only a really fantastic task but hopefully a huge sense of achievement.

“Twenty three children are taking part and after being interviewed were put into relevant teams. The project has already been going for several weeks and the children have been brilliant with both the hard work and ideas they have come up.

“We also invited them down to our LV= Cup game with Ospreys to get a behind-the-scenes look at life at Sixways as they gear up for what we are sure will be a successful match day against The Army. We hope as many supporters as possible will come along and not only support the game but also help raise valuable funds for the two charities.”
