Prop Ceri Jones and back row Adam Balding are both set for a return to action as Worcester Cavaliers face Sale Jets in a friendly at Heywood Road tonight (kick-off 7.30pm).
Front rower Jones has not featured since October after going shoulder surgery, but the former Wales international will now make his comeback against the Jets.
Number Eight Balding will also make a welcome return after suffering a serious hamstring injury against Banca Monte Crociati in Italy back in mid-November.
“It is great news that both Ceri and Adam are available for selection for this game against Sale,” said Head Coach Richard Hill.
“Having Ceri back is like having a new player. He trained for the first time last week in full contact, along with Kai Horstmann.
“Kai is also close to a return and we could see him in our game with Bath A the following Monday. Hopefully the week after that Neil Best is back too.”
Hooker Chris Fortey will captain the Cavaliers in a side that features a blend of young and experience.
