Wednesday Night – Worcester vs The Army!

Worcester face The Army in a friendly fixture at the home of the Warriors this Wednesday night (kick-off 7.30pm) with one unusual twist – it is being run as a special charity game by local schoolchildren and we need your support!

The Warriors Community team have this year teamed up with Tudor Grange Academy in Worcester to launch a fantastic new project that has allowed pupils from the school, based on Bilford Road, to deliver a match day with a difference at Sixways!

Students from all age groups at the city school have helped set up the event – known as Little Warriors Invade Sixways – that will see them run the Cavaliers game against The Army on Wednesday.

As part of the eight-week project, pupils have been covering every aspect of the fixture and worked in small teams, that include Marketing & Media, Corporate Hospitality and Fundraising, to get a hands-on feel to life in a professional rugby club.

Every group has met with staff at Sixways on a weekly basis and have decided that the charity match next month will raise funds for the Warriors Community Foundation and SSAFA Forces Help.

Entry on the night to the game will be a minimum suggested donation of £3 per person and it is hoped a big crowd will attend the fixture.

A raffle is also taking place with tickets being sold at 50p each or £2 for a strip. Raffle and ground entry tickets are on sale from the school and Sixways. Prizes include: A stadium tour for six people, signed Warriors Home Shirt, signed Warriors Ball, signed poster and Warriors cake!
