Boss ready to unleash back row Best

Head Coach Richard Hill has revealed that combative back row Neil Best is set to feature for Worcester Warriors against high flying Exeter Chiefs in the Aviva Premiership at Sixways on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

Best has not started a league game for Warriors since breaking an arm in victory over Bath Rugby in late November.

However, the former Ireland international is back to full fitness and after impressing for the Worcester Cavaliers is set to force his way into Hill’s plans as play-off chasing Exeter arrive at the home of the Warriors.

“We will look at playing Besty,” said Hill. “He has been very patient and seen Sam Betty play exceptionally well.

“He has never complained, he is astute and knows Sam has played well.  But if we don’t put him on the field at some stage he is going to rip things apart.

“He is desperate to play and for this game if we can let him loose against Exeter it is the right game for him. He is excited at the prospect of being involved.

“Miles Benjamin is also fit again for selection after he was forced out of the Leicester Tigers game with a toe injury.

“We don’t think we will make too many changes. We have looked at the team that has done well out here in wins against Gloucester, Saracens and Newcastle.

“The front five of Matt Mullan, Aleki Lutui, Tevita Taumoepeau, James Percival and Chris Jones have played in all three of those wins and we don’t move too far from that.”
