Sixways stars Chris Pennell, James Percival and Matt Kvesic have today unveiled the new-look playing shirts, produced by Kooga, that Warriors will wear during the 2012/13 season.
Warriors recently announced a new partnership that saw Kooga become the club’s Official Kit Provider for the next four seasons.
Interest has been growing since over what the new designs will look like and members of the Warriors squad this week took time out of pre-season preparations to model the new-look shirts.
The distinctive new home shirt maintains the club’s traditional navy blue colour scheme and is complimented by white and gold spikes, the latest evolution of a successful hooped design Warriors have worn over the last three seasons.
A totally new and stylish away shirt helps signify a bright new era being predominantlywhite with different shades of electric blue. The kit it is completed by white shorts and socks.
Warriors have also unveiled a radical new third shirt that will be worn in cup competitions this season. This striking design will be worn for the first time in the JP Morgan Premiership Rugby 7s Series on Thursday night at Kingsholm.
Tom Ryder, Head of Commercial Development at Warriors, said: “Interest in the new playing shirts has been growing throughout the summer, after we signed a new partnership with Kooga, and we are now delighted to reveal them to our fans.
“Following feedback from supporter groups and sponsors, our home shirt again features our traditional club colours with a new spiky look. The away shirt also retains the electric blue colour which has proven very popular with our fans in recent seasons.
“The introduction of a new third kit, that will be worn in competitions such as the LV=Cup and Amlin Challenge Cup, sees us follow the theme of recent charity shirts in that it is a unique, radical and eye-catching design using our traditional club colours.
“All three playing shirts feature the logo of our Main Partners Worcester Bosch, as they celebrate 50 years, along with our Club Sponsors Elonex, Smurfit Kappa and English Mutual.”
Supporter Replica and Liquid Pro Performance Player Replica Shirts will all be available in the Sixways Store when stock arrives in August.
