Book Signing – The Worcester Warrior story

Supporters can now read all about the story behind the growth of Warriors in a new book from Chairman Cecil Duckworth that is available from the Sixways Store – and this Saturday he will be in store to sign copies from 12.30pm ahead of the derby clash with Gloucester Rugby.

In his new autobiography Worcester Warrior he tells the story of the many setbacks he encountered in the process of building up his business in Worcester, including the 1973 oil crisis and a fire that destroyed the factory in 1983. He also reveals how, having sold his business and turned his attention to the city’s rugby club, taking the Warriors into the Premiership in 2004 when he was awarded the OBE for services to rugby and the community and made a Freeman of the City of Worcester in 2008.
